Moving house is always stressful. So many details need to be worked out and orchestrated, that more often than not the whole process leaves you with giant headache and the promise that you will never, ever do it again. With a couple of weeks before our move-out deadline, we decided to complete the whole shebang as quickly and as gently as possible. In-fact we decided we would do it all via the power of the great world wide web.

It’s surprisingly easy to do nowadays thanks to websites, email, search engines and scanners. We started off by hitting a few estate agent websites. You can get a pretty good idea of what a flat is like from pictures, some fancy agents even have video tours which can be very handy. We already knew our location, so it was just a matter of finding a few choice places. Within a week we had narrowed it down to two, after a few emails we arranged a viewing and settled on our final choice.

The next step was to find some suitable van hire. Again a quick search on the net provided us with numerous van hire London companies and all we had to do was grab the cheapest and most reliable. Booking online is incredibly easy and with that done it was time to rally some troops for the big day. Thanks to social media we managed to find an army willing to help us. After all our documents were signed, sealed and delivered the big day finally arrived and I must admit it was one of the least stressful moves I have ever experienced.
